Become a Sponsor

Are you or your company interested in becoming a sponsor for the Regional Red Deer Restorative Justice Program?

While some restorative justice initiatives serve specific communities or populations, RRDRJ is the only organization in Central Alberta that offers a community-wide restorative justice pathway, accessible to all individuals and families.

The service provided by the RRDRJ program is not government funded but rather is dependent upon annual grant applications and community and corporate sponsors and donations. Any level of financial or in-kind types of sponsorships go a long way to help us to continue to offer this service to the families, schools and police detachments in central Alberta.

Because of our sponsors, our services are free to anyone in Central Alberta.

Our Focus

Goal 1 is to ensure young people and people harmed have access to restorative options. For many youth, restorative justice is the first time they are:

  • asked what happened from their perspective
  • supported to hear how their actions affected someone else
  • given a real opportunity to repair harm

For people harmed, it may be the first time they are:

  • believed
  • listened to without being rushed
  • given a choice about how they want to participate

GOAL 1:

Access

Goal 2 is to protect the quality and safety of restorative processes for youth. Youth often arrive carrying fear, shame, confusion, and very little trust in adults or systems. Quality restorative practice means:

  • taking time to build safety
  • preparing youth to take responsibility without being overwhelmed
  • ensuring the person harmed is not re-traumatized
  • holding adults steady so youth don’t have to manage the room

When organizations are stretched thin, this care is what gets compromised.

GOAL 2:

Quality & Safety

Goal 3 is to strengthen community relationships so youth don’t get lost in the system. Young people don’t exist in isolation. They are part of families, schools, teams, and communities. Restoration is not just about resolving a single incident — it’s about what happens next.

RRDRJ works with RCMP, schools, and community partners to ensure youth are:

  • supported to learn and change
  • kept connected rather than pushed out
  • seen as capable of growth, not defined by one moment

GOAL 3:

Community Connection

The most meaningful outcome of becoming a sponsor is the impact your support has on real people — young people taking responsibility, individuals harmed being heard, and communities choosing repair over removal.

Request a presentation! How to Become a Sponsor

1

Choose a Sponsorship Level

Each level reflects a different way of standing with this work — from ensuring people are heard, to sustaining restorative justice for the long term.

2

Connect With Us

We welcome a conversation to answer questions, confirm alignment, discuss recognition, and ensure the partnership reflects restorative values. There is no obligation attached to an initial conversation.

3

Confirm Sponsorship

Once a sponsorship level is confirmed, RRDRJ will outline recognition details aligned with your level, and confirm timing and payment options. Sponsorships are typically recognized over a one-year period, with flexibility where needed.

4

Partnership in Practice

After confirmation, recognition is integrated into RRDRJ’s existing materials and platforms. Sponsors receive periodic updates on the work they are supporting and recognition is handled with care, discretion, and respect for participant safety.
